Description
In this training, we will compare L&M and staff results from the VT ORG survey, we'll explore the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership, we'll define Trauma Informed Leadership, we'll compare the Five Practices with Trauma Informed Leadership, we'll explore the concepts of leadership styles and vocational awe, and finally, walk through the process of creating a personal leadership philosophy.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
1. Identify areas from the VT-ORG where L&M and staff are and are not aligned,
2. Describe the five practices of exemplary leadership,
3. Define trauma informed leadership and its principles,
4. Identify key areas of crossover between the five practices of exemplary leadership and trauma informed leadership,
5. Understand challenges presented by adhering to only one leadership style and how to identify and mitigate the impacts of ‘vocational awe,’ and
6. Determine their ‘trauma informed leadership presence’ by creating their own leadership philosophy.

This training aligns with VAP P&P: CRI 9.02, CRI 10.02, TS 3.06, and TS 3.09; and COA: CRI 2.04, TS 2.03, TS 2.06, and TS 3.01.
